In the sixth salon of the Ideas Shape the World – An Introduction to Social Movements series, hosted by Robert Nemeth, we will discuss anti-colonialism and how it influences today’s world.
Anti-colonialism is both a historical event, meaning “the struggle against imperial rule in different parts of the world,” and a philosophical movement, “the under-acknowledged predecessor to post-colonial theory,” which urges to rethink and reclaim the history and agency of people subordinated under various forms of imperialism. But how did it transform how we think about the world today?
