Arturo Toscanini was a generational giant of classical music, an unparalleled genius, as well as a powerful humanitarian and opponent of authoritarianism.

What can Toscanini’s life teach us about artistic genius, early 20th century history, and how to make a difference in times of global uncertainty?

Harvey Sachs is the foremost expert on Toscanini’s life and legacy, having written four books on the Italian conductor over the past 45 years. In this SuperSalon, Harvey joins Interintellect to talk about Toscanini’s musical talents and accomplishments, his emigration from Europe to America, his resistance to fascism, and more.
