Curating Visual Knowledge: A Kunstmatrix Workshop

Interintellect Patricia Hurducas will lead a workshop on visual curation – from curation of objects in (virtual) museums and galleries to curation of ideas for our personal projects. How can we become better curators and what does that entail?

The workshop will start with a discussion about visual intelligence, aesthetics of ambiguity, taste, storytelling, and the role of the curator. After the discussion we will work independently on curating and creating our own virtual gallery in the (free) tool Kunstmatrix for 45 minutes. In the final part of the workshop we will analyse and comment on the work of the participants and try to define our curatorial style.

Pre-workshop requirement: please select the theme you want to explore and curate in your virtual gallery before the workshop.
