Doing Good / God’s Work II (Workshop)

There are many phrases we use to describe doing work we feel is meaningful, important, and moral. In this follow-up salon hosted by executive coach Jason Shen, we will continue an earlier discussion co-hosted with Interintellect founder Anna Gát: we will participate in a visualization exercise and discussion to explore our own vision of Good Work / God’s Work / Our Calling / Ikigai.
About this Salon
In early November 2022, Anna and Jason co-hosted a salon which explored how work has evolved and whether it can continue (or ever has been able to) serve as a source of fulfillment. Whether you attended or are new to the conversation, Jason now welcomes you to Part 2: a visualization and workshop to uncover our personal vision of how we might do work that matters.
We will use a modified version of the “Future Self” exercise where for ~20 minutes, participants will close their eyes and follow Jason’s audio cues to connect to an older, wiser version of ourselves, one who has spent the last 20 years doing important, powerful, and meaningful work. We will get to ask that Future Self a few questions about our journey and then return to the present.
As an executive coach focusing on resilience and reinvention, Jason has taken many of his clients through this exercise to great effect. This will be a chance for an entire interintellect salon group to participate together, in a shared, safe environment.
The rest of the salon will be about unpacking that experience, identifying insights and new perspectives, and then generating plans and next steps that we can take forward to bring that vision into reality. Please come into this salon with an open mind and a willingness to explore your own subconscious—and we look forward to finding our callings, together.
