Forgetting and Forgiving: A Story-Sharing Salon

What’s the most serious thing you’ve ever forgiven? Join Interintellect founder, Anna Gát, for this special salon on forgetting and forgiving; the choices we make and the burdens we carry.
Every person, every system of law, every religion in the world observes different standards of when to let go of the injustices of the past. Often we even contradict ourselves. We go into therapy to become more forgiving of our parents. We refuse to read a book author ever again for something he said on social media. We erect public statues for the tragedies of our history when we were victimized by another group. We profess being above revenge and then block somebody’s number or vote for a candidate we don’t like out of spite.
Yet one thing we all seem to agree on, even when it comes to the different parts of our own personalities seeking different things, is that there’s something about bad memories and old grudges that feels like a… weight. That people who make it out of the panic room of rumination all report a lighter, better way of being. We are at least, curious.
If the above feelings and dilemmas sound familiar, please join us at this intimate online salon of storytelling. We can’t wait to hear your story!
