How to Read a Poem: Part 2
September 22, 2021 at 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm PDT
Start time where you are: Your time zone couldn't be detected
After the success of the first “How To Read Poetry” Salon, Hollis Robbins hosts another for those who want to finally understand poetry.
Are you secretly insecure about poetry?
Wish you could tell what makes a good poem “good,” a great poem “great,” and a bad poem “bad” (it is not just a matter of opinion)?
Don’t know the vocabulary you should be using?
Didn’t understand what your teachers were excited about? What GPT-3 researchers are excited about?
This will be another hands-on workshop on the mechanics of poetry: the elements, traditions, building blocks, scaffolding of (mostly Western) verse. Attendance at Part 1 not required.
