Join us for an IRL salon in San Francisco where we explore the art in everyday objects, sharing how mundane beauty inspires our creativity and enriches our lives.
An object imbued with art is an object worth appreciating. Yet, an individual who seeks art in the mundane will find a reason to appreciate it. This is a richer and more generative mindset. From the clothes we wear to the notebooks we jot our thoughts in, it’s the everyday objects that subtly define the contours of our daily existence and influence our perception of the world. This salon will be a conversation between curious individuals where we would like to explore how you see beauty in the everyday objects around you and how it motivates you to create.
Whether you’re an artist, a creator, or simply have a curious mind, this event is an opportunity to share perspectives, stories, and inspiration. Some possibly curious questions are:
What objects do you love and why? Did you find it easy to love them? Or did it take a while for you to appreciate them?
What makes you want to create? It’s not obvious, or else everyone would be creating!
Was there ever a period in your life where you had a hard time finding beauty in the world around you but had a change in perspective? It’s a non-trivial relationship that some have managed to establish; this is creative fodder for the rest of us.
How has this enriched your life? Has it made you more positive? Given you purpose? Our experiences are unique.
If you have started a creative journey, what is it and how have you gone about it?
You are encouraged to bring along your favorite objects or creations to share with the group. Whether it’s a cherished piece of clothing, a handcrafted ceramic mug, or a love note that holds special meaning, each item provides insight into our unique perspectives. Join us!
The exact location of this event will be shared with attendees via email.
