Own Your Story
Monday December 9 at 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm EST
Start time where you are: Your time zone couldn't be detected
The stories we tell about ourselves matter more than we think. As outliers, our experiences often don’t fit neat categories or conventional arcs – and perhaps they shouldn’t. Together we’ll examine what makes certain narratives resonate, why conflict drives connection, and how authenticity emerges not from perfection, but from embracing our complexities.
In this salon, we’ll consider questions like: How do we reconcile our many layers and contradictions? What can we learn from how TV shows craft compelling character arcs? When does building in public serve us, and when might it hold us back? We’ll explore ways to help you find your voice while staying true to your unusual path.
Every movement starts with the fringe and the greatest innovations emerges from deviants. What is it actually like to be an outlier? When are talents, tendencies, and backgrounds clash with the majority? How do we carve a path our own without letting our unconventional nature get us in trouble? Join Jason Shen, the Outlier Coach and author of weirdly brilliant for a joyful, illuminating and unexpected salon series about understanding, adapting, and flourishing in a world designed for typical brains and ordinary minds.
