September 11, 2021 at 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm BST
Start time where you are: Your time zone couldn't be detected
In the Writer’s Corner workshop salons hosted by Sylvia R, we gather to discuss and learn from some of the greatest writers and works of literature.
In this session, the focus will be on Jorge Luis Borges’s short story “Death and the Compass”.
The workshop will be structured as follows:
Section 1: Discuss
This is an interactive section where we talk about the themes, ideas, and technical qualities of a piece of literature, in this case “Death and the Compass”.
Section 2: Write
We’ll spend one hour silently writing together. You’re welcome to work on anything that interests you: short, long fiction, non-fiction, journaling, academic papers, Twitter threads.
Section 3: Exchange Feedback
We’ll read each other’s work and exchange concrete suggestions as to how to make a piece more readable, beautiful, powerful, convincing.
