Life Lessons from The Brothers Karamazov: Part 1
February 1, 2021 at 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm EET
Start time where you are: Your time zone couldn't be detected
“The Brothers Karamazov has been called the most magnificent novel ever written. No less a literary luminary than Kurt Vonnegut claimed that the book tells you nothing less than ‘everything you need to know about life’.
It’s certainly a daunting tome, though, clocking in at more than 360,000 words and just under 1000 pages. If you were given $1 for every word of the book you read, at this rate you might finish it just in time to trade the money in for a single bitcoin!
The best way to tackle something intense is to do it in a group. Whether this is your first time with Dostoyevsky, you are a returning veteran, or you are in the middle of a reading and want to share the love with others, you are welcome at this Salon series!
We will tackle one part (~200 pages) per Salon, for a total of four Salons.
Even if you don’t have time to read everything, we would still love you to attend – obviously it will be more fun the more Karamazov you’ve consumed, though :)” – Salon Host Daniel Thomason
