Host Training: An Introduction to Audio/Podcast Production

In this members-only host training, Daniel Golliher will take you through the basics of audio production, and help you think through launching your own podcast. 

Many people have, at one point or another, thought about starting a podcast. And if not a podcast, a YouTube show. Whether you’re an academic, an entertainer, or just someone who takes a lot of Zoom calls (perhaps by hosting and attending ii salons!), audio production is a vital skill for citizens of the metaverse. 

Audio production is easy once you’ve gotten the basics right, but getting the basics right can be frustrating. If you google “how to start a podcast” or “what’s the best microphone to use,” you’ll be hit with a lot of information. Sorting through it can induce analysis paralysis, and most of us would just like an experienced practitioner to wave a wand and get us set up.
