About me:
I’m a futurist, economist, and trend analyst. I’m interested in everything (which is fortunate, because I’m paid to be interesting) and have an eclectic reading habit from which I’ve inadvertently accumulated ideas about life, the universe and everything. For my day job, I’m a partner at Flux Trends, a South African based business trends analysis firm; and I also host a web show on participatory democracy, called The Small Print, and write about the future and such things for various publications.
I (very selfishly) host salons on anything that I want to talk about – but mainly on the intersection between economic and social philosophy and the fine lines between positive and normative ideas about the future. You’ll either love me or hate me (I don’t really mind, as long as you don’t find me lukewarm and boring).
