Join Interintellect host Ben Fleming for a London meet-up and experience the many health benefits of being outdoors.
It feels great to be outdoors! After a year of being urged to stay confined inside buildings, now is the time to learn about and examine all the ways being outside can be beneficial for our health.
Working, reading, writing, and sitting at a computer screen all day can take its toll on our body and it is important to take the time to be in an open environment, exposed to the elements, with our eyes on the distant horizon.
- But what are the specific mechanisms that make the outdoors so healthy for us?
- How did we end up in a society where indoors is the norm? (even when the weather is nice!)
- What can we do to make more time for being in the great outdoors?
