Join Mary Bajorek, an Interintellect fellow, in her sixth and final installment of the 12-week journey of rehabilitating our work life. We’ll take this time to explore what it means to rest, both through conversation and practice, in the midst of trying to figure out how to find work that aligns with who we are.
One of the most common answers I get nowadays when I ask people how they’re doing, the answer is: busy. Our days are filled with work, social activities, hobbies, self care, personal admin, entertainment, personal growth, responsibilities and family. We make time to do and reflect, learn and grow, figure out work and our dreams. All of these are extremely valuable AND we also need time to rest, really rest.
Join us for this salon as we explore the meaning of rest, discuss the challenges we face in finding true rest, and practice rest together. Through engaging conversations and shared experiences, we’ll gain insights into the various dimensions of rest and discover practical ways to prioritize rejuvenation in our lives. Come ready to reflect, connect, and embrace the art of resting.
The irony of hosting a salon on rest (doing another things instead of resting) is not lost on me but sometimes we need to schedule something in to make time for it.
