An Interintellect Salon Series
“Practical men who believe themselves to be quite exempt from any intellectual influence, are usually the slaves of some defunct economist. Madmen in authority, who hear voices in the air, are distilling their frenzy from some academic scribbler of a few years back” ~ John Maynard Keynes
The Dead Economists Society returns….except this time it is the Living Economists Society!
Welcome to a salon track exploring the future “defunct economists” whose ideas are shaping the world around us, and the new ideas that are “lying around”, ready in wait, to change our world again.
Each salon in this ongoing track will explore the views of a particularly influential economist and discuss how their ideas are evolving and changing and being championed by contemporary thinkers, writers, philosophers, politicians, and economists.
After all, ideas change the world. Best we understand them before they change us.
Hosted by: Bronwyn Williams and Peter Isztin
SAVE THE DATE: The L.E.S. Salons will run on the first Thursday of each month!
