About me:
I’m a linguist with interests in a variety of fields within linguistics and adjacent disciplines. Some highlights include historical linguistics, formal linguistic theory, second language acquisition and teaching, and the history of the English language. I’m also an avid conlanger (maker of constructed languages).
My main goal on the internet is to bring linguistics out of the ivory tower and towards a wider audience.
These days my main venues for public linguistics are through my YouTube channel and on Twitch, but I also write articles on my website and teach classes to small groups. I also have two newsletters, one for linguistics and one for language learning.
