The MIT Media Lab is one of the most iconic and largest research centers at MIT. Despite the press it generates and the volume of talented individuals who pass through, the organization remains shrouded in mystery, perhaps intentionally so.
Wes Chow, who has been at the Media Lab for about four years as affiliate and staff, will talk through the lab’s founding history and some notable historical projects. He will also explain the organizational structure, how that contributes to research output, and some of the major modern day research directions (including that of the Media Lab housed Center for Constructive Communication, which is ii relevant!).
