Join Interintellect host Crystal Duan and visiting from NYC and Christin Balan for an in-person gathering as we discuss how we handle disillusionment and loss of faith in the world, and how this helps us both fuel our dreams and temper them with realism.
In addition to a chance to meetup IRL, this event will be structured around the topic:
How do we dream big without letting our disappointments bring us down? How do we retain a sense of optimism once we’ve been disappointed? How has Los Angeles as a place inspired and also disappointed you in this regard?
Discussion Questions will include:
- How do you set realistic expectations that also don’t temper your hope and creativity?
- What are your thoughts on how society teaches us to interface with idealism and realism?
- How have you historically dealt with disappointment and what have you taken away from it?
