Dear Peter Pan,

I am a Lost Boy, in the twilight of age; stuck in between the childish playfulness of the stars, and the maturing of dawn.

I watch as the days pass, closing my ears as the world demands that I grow up.

They used to tell me in stories, that boys had to become men, that growing up was a ship that everyone had to embark, and once you reached an age, there was no turning back on becoming an adult. Growing up used to seem like such a big adventure, and I remember watching in admiration as friends embarked the ship before me, on an ocean to a destination far beyond the horizon, further than the eye can see, to a land they themselves don’t know, never to return to their childhood soil.

The ship has come for me now, and it is my time to sail. But I don’t want to. I don’t feel ready. I don’t want to grow up. I don’t know what being an adult is like, I’m just a kid. All I know is that I am a Lost Boy, and that I never want to grow up.

My soul’s compass has pointed me in your direction, but I lack the navigation, for the child’s mind is not only confused, but goes round all the time. T

ake me to Neverland, where dreams are born and time is never planned.

Let me be one of your Lost Boys, and we will have adventures that will never end.
