What does money mean to you? Join Mary Bajorek, an Interintellect fellow, in her third installment of the 12-week journey of rehabilitating our work life, in which we’ll dive into the topic of money and how it relates to our work and lives.
For some of us, money represents fears of scarcity, a signal of our worth in this world, a representation of our safety, or a way to recognize our talent and hard work. Our relationships with money are as complex, as diverse as each of us.
We hold many beliefs about money, but we don’t usually take the time to examine them closely — looking at their impact to our relationships in our lives and in our work. If we assume our actions and choices are influenced by our beliefs, then if we are able to bring awareness to what we hold to be true (whether it is true or something we’ve learned through our past), we can have more agency over what we do and how we make decisions.
In this salon, we’ll explore our relationship to money and many of the underlying beliefs that make up that experience, especially around the topic of work and finding our work expression.
Some of the questions we’ll be discussing in this salon:
- What does money mean to us?
- What are our stories about money?
- What is our relationship to scarcity and abundance?
- How does money influence our decisions about life and work?
