The Art of Telling Your Story: Creating a True Self-Narrative Others Can Understand
October 11, 2022 at 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm CEST
Start time where you are: Your time zone couldn't be detected
An intimate storytelling salon where we’ll investigate how to share one’s own life story, which often feels very complicated to the person living it, in a simpler way so that others can understand and focus on the most important arc. Hosted by Interintellect founder Anna Gát.
We’re all protagonists in our own stories, subjected in every moment to a cavalcade of emotions and impressions that only rarely coalesce into a straightforward narrative by themselves. When we find ourselves having to explain our story to others – in a college application essay, a startup pitch, or a motivating speech we are to give to our colleagues – we face the difficulty of narrowing down the complicated epics that are our lives into easy-to-grasp, captivating tableaus.
At this salon, we will talk about our lives as well as some techniques with which we can write and speak about them in ways that help others to follow the most important events and focus on the points that really count. During this salon, you will also write a short piece which we hope will be a helpful frame going forward.
