Artificial Intelligence and the Arts

August 19, 2021 at 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm CDT

Start time where you are: Your time zone couldn't be detected

Debut host Rachel Haywire leads a discussion on the future of art in collaboration with artificial intelligence.

From Google’s Deep Dream AI to Endel to GPT-3 to the @ai_curio account on Twitter; new forms of art, music, and literature are being developed through Artificial Intelligence. While some claim that this will put the creative class out of business, others believe that this is the beginning of a digital renaissance.

What happens when the physical and digital collaborate? Do they create entirely new universes and landscapes?

During this salon, we will discuss the truths, consequences, benefits, precautions, and possibilities of Artificial Intelligence intersecting with art throughout these various mediums. Whether visual art, music, or literature; artists from all over the philosophical and political spectrum now have the capability to use AI in order to enhance their creativity. While one can leave AI to do all of the work, one can also join in and play.

Let us play with these concepts and more.
