Draw Your Ideas! (Workshop)

Join Mike Haber for this workshop salon, where we can Just Draw The Thing!

This salon is for you if you’ve ever found that words are not quite enough to explain to your boss, employees, friends, or kids what you mean. Visuals are just another way of getting ideas out of our heads. Combined with spoken and written words, they can increase the understanding of what we’re trying to say.

“I wish I’d had this in last weeks performance review” and “ah! this explains me!” have been outcomes of previous ‘Draw your Ideas’ workshops.

Using the idea of a ‘Visual Thesaurus,’ I’ll present some ideas, and then we’ll draw them. Feedback is essential for improvement, so there will be time in the workshop to share your visuals and find out what they communicate to others.

You don’t need to be able to draw to attend this salon — we’ll be using simple words and lines. You are welcome to use pen and paper, an iPad, miro, or any other tool.

After the salon, we will share a google doc where you may upload your visuals and get additional feedback. (I’ll keep this open for two weeks after the salon).

There is no reading list for this salon. However, you can :

• Bring  an idea you’d like to share (maybe from a book or a course you’re working on).
• Bring an article or idea by someone else that you’d like to visualise.
• Have a look at the current ‘Visual Thesaurus‘. It’s mainly pictures.
