Life and Work in the Rhythm of the Seasons: October

October 6, 2022 at 8:30 pm CEST

Start time where you are: Your time zone couldn't be detected

Louis Bijl de Vroe and Simon Ohler (that’s us) are philosophers and brothers in spirit. We are the founders of Spiritual Mischief, a podcast that combines culture, comedy, and ancient wisdom. In this salon series, we offer you a peek into our studies.

Based on the eastern philosophy of The Dao, and the book that Dr. Jaap Voigt wrote on the topic, we show you how to synchronize your life and your work with the flow of the seasons, and find your balance and unlock your natural creativity. Please refer to the salon series page for more info.

On the current month:

October: Drawing up the balance, reflection and assessment

Live at the deepest level of your existence like a pregnant woman: carefully, purely and full of peaceful expectation.

October is about dealing with details and averting frustration. Routine matters demand a great deal of energy and maintenance while the impulse is one of excitement and enthusiasm. Be patient, take your time and keep frustration at bay.

By keeping your distance and remaining remote from events you are better able to observe them. This reflection leads to a reorganization of the ‘breathing’ structures that developed last month.

The aim is to develop a tighter internal organization and to see where greater structure and discipline are required.

Natural discipline will develop if you know you have a goal to fulfill in life.

Join us to study the energy of this month, or book a “season ticket” to be with us throughout Summer and Autumn.
