Singaporean Prosperity… A paradise for the “last man”?

From housing to healthcare, Singaporean life has been ‘solved’ as a policy problem.
Hawker centers provide delicious, cheap food; Singaporeans have access to cheap and efficient healthcare systems with excellent outcomes; and Singapore has a state led housing scheme that allows for 90% of the Singaporean population to own their homes at cheap prices.
Even still, when we look harder, have Singaporeans simply been pacified? Could this citizenry be the most extreme example of Nietzsche’s “last man” available to us today?
