Louis Bijl de Vroe and Simon Ohler (that’s us) are philosophers and brothers in spirit. We are the founders of Spiritual Mischief, a podcast that combines culture, comedy, and ancient wisdom. In this salon series, we offer you a peek into our studies.

May: Expressing your natural creativity into form

In the way we study and experience the seasons, May is the start and first month of summer. Growth reaches its height and everything becomes fully grown. While spring was about the development of ideas, Summer is about making them fully present in the world.

This first month of summer, introduce your vitality and the way in which you shape that joy to the world. You are now entirely in your flow and will therefore encounter no resistance. Your impulses will be received positively by anyone like-minded, through which a feeling of community may develop.

There will be relationships and situations in which you have to speak the bare truth about what you think. Prepare well for such confrontations and make sure you don’t end up in a situation that gives rise to strife.

Devote sufficient attention to the people in your direct vicinity. This will provide balance and peace in your home base, which will allow you to act more powerfully in the outside world.
