Louis Bijl de Vroe and Simon Ohler (that’s us) are philosophers and brothers in spirit. We are the founders of Spiritual Mischief, a podcast that combines culture, comedy, and ancient wisdom. In this salon series, we offer you a peek into our studies.

September: Shifting down a gear, working peacefully

In September, you are working on something that is truly important to you. Aim towards that which is higher than your own self-interest and fill it with beauty and elegance.

You will have to be diplomatic and tactful throughout this period. Get through all sorts of precarious situations in one piece, don’t step on anyone’s toes and approach strictness with a smile. That is difficult enough in itself.

This is a time of developing skills and craftsmanship. Complete your activities in peace and quiet. Your work in the outside world is already complete, the year’s harvest is ripening on the field. You will delve into yourself more, don’t get distracted by outside noise.

In this time, uncertainty may come to haunt you. Stay steadfast and wait to see the result of your labor. It’s about ensuring the potential you have developed taking on form naturally, without pushing or forcing.
